University of Ghana Opens Admissions for Nursing Special Programme 2024/2025
The University of Ghana’s School of Nursing and Midwifery, College of Health Sciences, invites suitable individuals to apply for admission to a Bachelor of Science (BSc) Special Programme for the academic year 2024/2025.
ENTRY REQUIREMENTS FOR THE BSc NURSING (Weekend) SPECIAL PROGRAM
Applicants with a Diploma in Nursing or Midwifery and a FGPA of 2.50 -3.24 will be admitted to Level 200, while 3.25 and higher will be admitted to Level 300. Please keep in mind that this particular training is only available to Nursing and Midwifery diploma holders.
Eligibility for the programme will be determined through a selection interview.

NATURE OF PROGRAMME AND DURATION
The BSc. Special Nursing Programme will be held on weekends at the University of Ghana’s School of Nursing and Midwifery for three (3) academic years for Diploma holders with FGPAs ranging from 2.50 to 3.24, and two (2) academic years for Diploma holders with FGPAs of 3.25 and higher.
COST OF APPLICATION FORMS
Ghanaian applicants can obtain University of Ghana online application E-VOUCHERS for GH¢220.00 from the following banks: Ecobank, Republic Bank, Agricultural Development Bank, GCB Bank, Zenith Bank, Universal Merchant Bank, CBG Bank, Prudential Bank, and Fidelity Bank.
HOW TO APPLY
Eligible applicants should complete the application forms online at http://admission.ug.edu.gh/undergrad. In addition, they would have to upload the following documents online:
- A scanned copy of nursing diploma certificate.
- A scanned copy of the Nursing and Midwifery Council (NMC) certificate.
- A transcript from the diploma-awarding institution.
DEADLINE FOR SUBMISSION OF FORMS
All online applications should be completed and submitted by June 30th, 2024.
