Malaysian Navy: According to naval authorities, two Malaysian navy helicopters crashed in midair during a normal practice for an impending parade, claiming the lives of all ten crew members on board.
The sad incident happened during a flight training exercise in the northern province of Lumut, which is the location of the Royal Malaysian Navy’s headquarters.
The military facility in Lumut, in the western state of Perak, was engulfed in grief after the catastrophe that occurred this morning.
Local authorities verified the footage’s validity when video of the series of events leading up to the crash began to circulate.
The Malaysian Navy promised to carry out a comprehensive investigation to determine the exact reason behind the tragic accident.
Details of the Crash
The Eurocopter Fennec and the Agusta Westland AW139 Maritime Operations Helicopter (HOM) that were engaged in the collision both met terrible ends.
