This hold-up occurred following her detention by Dutch police on drug-related charges.

Minaj apologized on social media, saying, “I love you, and I’m so sorry this happened tonight.” She talked about her ordeal, describing how she spent several hours in a detention cell before reaching her hotel around midnight.

In the beginning, Minaj had let fans know where her hotel was in Manchester and invited them to see her. She intended to engage with them while sitting on the balcony.

Minaj’s concert in Manchester that night was canceled, even though she was freed from police custody. Both Live Nation and the venue, Co-op Live, expressed deep disappointment over the cancellation.

The news of the postponement was made shortly after the scheduled time of Minaj’s performance, which disappointed the enthusiastic audience.

About 20,000 people inside the Co-op Live venue felt disappointed and irritated by Minaj’s sudden disappearance.

Some fans expressed their outrage, declaring being “livid” and “devastated” after paying for tickets and making the long trip.

A few fans expressed their shock at the monetary loss they had to pay for their tickets and journey. Even still, several fans choose not to place the blame on Minaj, pointing out that circumstances outside of her control were the real cause of the problem.

Minaj’s problems started when she was arrested on suspicion of drug possession by Dutch officials at Amsterdam’s Schiphol Airport.

She posted videos of a confrontation with Amsterdam police officers on social media in response to the accusations.

While authorities confirmed Minaj’s arrest for possession of soft drugs, she disputed the claims, alleging that the drugs belonged to her security team.

Despite Amsterdam’s reputation for being lax when it comes to marijuana laws, the drug is still banned throughout the Netherlands, even though it is legalized for personal use in some situations.
