How to Check 2024 BECE Results: The West African Examinations Council (WAEC) has announced the provisional results for the 2024 Basic Education Certificate Examination (BECE) for both School and Private Candidates.

In a statement released on October 19, 2024, WAEC mentioned that the results for school candidates would be sent to their respective schools through the Metropolitan, Municipal, and District Directors of Education.

Examination Malpractices and Penalties

The Council also reported instances of malpractice during the exams. Following investigations, the WAEC Final Awards and Examiners’ Appointment Committee approved penalties during its 35th meeting on October 16, 2024:

• Subject Result Cancellations: The results of specific subjects for 377 school candidates and 3 private candidates were canceled due to bringing unauthorized materials into the exam hall or engaging in collusion.
• Cancellation of Entire Results: The complete results of 41 school candidates and 1 private candidate were nullified for severe violations.
• Withheld Results: The results of 33 school candidates and 3 private candidates were withheld, pending further investigations into suspected irregularities. Additionally, subject results from 149 schools are under review, with the possibility of being released or canceled based on ongoing investigations.

Overview of the 2024 BECE

This year, 569,236 school candidates participated in the BECE, including 282,703 males and 286,533 females from 19,505 schools. Among them were candidates with special needs: 59 with visual impairments, 263 with hearing impairments, and 161 who required other accommodations. The exams took place across 2,123 centers nationwide, with 3,845 candidates absent.

For the BECE Private Candidates, 1,390 candidates (750 males and 640 females) took the exams at 15 centers located in regional capitals, with 57 candidates reported as absent.

• Dial *899*550# on any network.
• Select BECE 2024 Results Checker.
• Confirm the price and choose Option 1.
• Approve the payment via Mobile Money.
• The Results Checker card details and instructions will be sent via SMS.

2. Using *170# with MTN Mobile Money

• Dial *170#.
• Choose Option 2: MoMo Pay & Pay Bill.
• Select Option 2: Pay Bill.
• Go to Option 5: General Payment.
• Enter Payment Code: FAST, set the Amount to 25, and use Reference: BECE.
• Confirm the transaction.
• You will receive the Results Checker card information instantly via SMS.

3. Online Purchase through Mobile Money

• Visit ResultsChecker.com.gh.
• Select BECE Results Checker and specify the quantity.
• Click Buy Now, complete your details, and proceed with the payment.
• Confirm the payment using the OTP sent to your phone.
• The Results Checker information will be sent to you via SMS.
