Ghana Police Launch Manhunt for Gunmen: Following the sad murder of two off-duty police officers in front of their private property at Block Factory, East Trassacco, Accra, the Ghana Police Service has launched a manhunt for the attackers.

The incident happened at about 6:00 p.m. on Thursday, May 2, 2024.

The attackers, who rode on a motorcycle, shot the officers without warning, leaving them gravely wounded. Surprisingly, the gunmen left the area as soon as the attack was carried out, not attempting to rob the victims.

The police verified the shooting and declared the start of a manhunt for the two assailants in a statement on their Facebook page on Thursday night.

The statement underlined the severity of the situation and the police service’s dedication to apprehending offenders.

An intelligence-led operation to capture the suspects has been initiated in reaction to the horrific crime.

The Ghana Police Service is not wasting any time in finding the offenders and making sure they suffer the full consequences of their cowardly behavior.

The community has been outraged and concerned by the unfortunate tragedy, which has brought attention to the need for more security and vigilance.

A military officer was assassinated at Kasoa Millennium City in the Central Region due to a property dispute just a few days prior to this tragedy.

In order to look into the untimely death of Lance Corporal (L/Cpl) Danso Michael, the Ghana Police Service and the Ghana Armed Forces (GAF) are working together.

As part of the killing investigation, one person has been taken into police custody and is cooperating with the inquiries.
