Drake’s Security Guard Shot: A terrifying series of events resulted in the shooting of a security guard at Drake’s Canadian home during a drive-by assault.

The incident, which happened early on Tuesday morning, shocked the music industry, particularly in light of Drake and Kendrick Lamar’s ongoing feud.

Several attackers in a car reportedly drove up to Drake’s 50,000-square-foot residence and opened fire on the security officer stationed there.

The man went through surgery at a local hospital after suffering severe injuries, including a gunshot wound to the chest. Thankfully, there is no risk to the patient’s life from the injuries.

Police surrounded Drake’s home after the gunshot and started looking into what happened. In an effort to identify and capture the offenders, authorities are reviewing video footage from surrounding cameras. It is still unknown if Drake was at home when the attack happened.

Just a day after the shooting, police reportedly apprehended a man who was trying to break into Drake’s house.

Authorities haven’t, however, verified a link between the two incidents. Later, medical help was given to the detainee per Ontario’s Mental Health Act.

The shooting took place amid a well-publicized rivalry between hip-hop artists Kendrick Lamar and Drake.

The musicians’ competition has intensified in the past few weeks as a result of their mutually demeaning tracks, which have sparked rumors and controversy.

The feud between Drake, Kendrick Lamar, and J. Cole initially began with a lyric praising their respective careers.

While J. Cole has since withdrawn from the conflict, Drake and Kendrick continue to trade diss tracks, escalating tensions and making serious accusations against each other.
