Disagreement Arises Over Poll Predictions for 2024 Ghanaian Election

Disagreement Arises Over Poll Predictions: Former Deputy General Secretary of the National Democratic Congress (NDC), Koku Anyidoho, has raised objections to the findings of a recent poll conducted by Global Info Analytics.

According to the poll, former President John Dramani Mahama was forecasted to secure over 70% of the votes in the Greater Accra Region, while Dr. Mahamudu Bawumia, the flagbearer of the New Patriotic Party (NPP), was expected to gather only 23%.

Expressing his disagreement, Anyidoho took to social media, denouncing the poll as fraudulent and cautioning the NDC against being swayed by such potentially misleading statistical data.

Allegations of Manipulation

In a series of posts, Anyidoho referenced a book titled “How To Lie With Statistics,” which he had encountered during his studies at the University of East Anglia (UEA). He shared footage from Citi TV featuring Mussa Dankwah, the Executive Director of Global Info Analytics, explaining the poll results.

Anyidoho went further to accuse Dankwah of being influenced by unidentified “evil forces” within the NDC, alleging manipulation of statistical data to serve a specific agenda.

Expressing his frustration, Anyidoho tweeted, “This guy is really making me angry (I don’t get angry easily). Who is he to be lying to the NDC with these nonsensical statistics? Who is paying him for this thrash? Gee!!!”

In another tweet, Anyidoho called for scrutiny of Dankwah’s statistical background, urging, “Pls, can anyone check the Statistical background of this guy who is grossly misleading the NDC and JM? Is it possible that he is a Trojan Horse? Pls, let the NDC disregard this fraudulent analysis and go and work hard.”
