Anthropic Releases New iPhone app and Premium Plan for Enterprises.

New iPhone app: Anthropic, a well-funded generative AI startup with $7.6 billion in its coffers, is expanding its offerings with a new paid plan tailored for enterprises, particularly those in highly regulated sectors such as healthcare, finance, and legal. This move coincides with the launch of an iOS app, further expanding access to its AI capabilities.

New iPhone app: The new plan, dubbed Team, provides enterprise customers with enhanced access to Anthropic’s Claude 3 family of generative AI models, along with additional administrative and user management controls. Scott White, product lead at Anthropic, highlighted the growing demand from businesses seeking to deploy advanced AI capabilities across their organizations, leading to the introduction of the Team plan.

This plan is designed to cater to businesses of all sizes and industries, offering controlled and trusted access to Claude’s language understanding and generation capabilities.

Compared to Anthropic’s individual premium plan, Pro, the Team plan offers “greater usage per user,” allowing users to significantly increase their interactions with Claude. Additionally, Team customers gain access to a 200,000-token context window and other advantages, such as early feature access. The context window plays a crucial role in the model’s performance, enabling it to retain the content of recent conversations and better understand data flow.

The Team plan also introduces new features for billing and user management, with collaboration features set to be added soon. These features include citations for verifying AI-generated claims, integrations with data repositories, and a collaborative canvas for working on AI-generated documents and projects.

In the near term, Team customers will benefit from tool use capabilities for Claude 3, which recently entered open beta. This allows users to equip Claude 3 with custom tools for a wider range of tasks, similar to OpenAI’s GPTs.
