Accra, Ghana – On June 11, 2024, the Accra High Court, under the pronouncement of Her Ladyship Justice Audrey Kocuvie-Tay, mandated the swearing-in of the newly elected executives of the National Health Students’ Association of Ghana (NAHSAG). These executives were initially elected on December 16, 2023, in the Volta region.
The official handing-over ceremony was held at the Korle Klortey Municipal Assembly conference room. The event witnessed the presence of outgoing executives, including the financial secretary, and national presidents of UNSAG, PASAG NATIONAL, FG-MELSA, PHARMSSAG, and other national member association (NMA) executives.
Additionally, NUGS President H.E. Kyeremeh Oppong Daniel, his executives, and the Deputy Chief Justice were in attendance.
The ceremony was graced by health students, well-wishers, and representatives from sister associations, including the University Students’ Association of Ghana (USAG), who delivered solidarity messages. The Patron and founder of NAHSAG, though unable to attend in person, joined virtually and expressed relief that the disputes had been resolved, paving the way for smooth operations.
In his address, NUGS President Kyeremeh Oppong Daniel urged the student leaders to diligently serve their constituents and address their needs and interests effectively.
The newly sworn-in NAHSAG executives, led by President H.E. Agyare emphasized that their immediate focus would be on addressing the challenges facing health students and recent graduates across the country.
