Accident at Tailer Junction: A tragic accident at Tailer Junction, near Winneba in the Central Region, resulted in three fatalities and left 15 others with serious injuries.

The incident occurred when a Toyota Vitz, bearing the registration number GW 907-24, collided with a Toyota Hiace passenger vehicle registered as AW 78-22.

According to Winneba Municipal Fire Service Commander, DO 2 Fredrick Adu-Poku, the accident happened when the Toyota Vitz driver attempted to overtake a tricycle ahead but collided with the O.A. Express passenger vehicle, which was traveling from Accra to Obuasi. Both vehicles veered off the highway and ended up in a ditch.

The crash claimed the lives of one male and two females at the scene, while the injured individuals were transported to the Winneba Trauma and Specialist Hospital for treatment.

DO 2 Adu-Poku urged drivers to exercise extra caution as the festive season approaches to help reduce road accidents.
